DoK15518 invites two (female/queer) artists to live together with their (reference) children for almost a month in the Haus des Wandels, to work on their own artistic projects or to develop something together and to try out different formats of co-parenting.

For this year, we would like the resulting works to have a thematic focus. The theme should be broadly defined as water: having too much or too little, finding or searching, lake or salt water, dirty or clean, Tesla or forest, from above or below - material or imaginary - it should flow or not.

There will also be an artist talk with interested parties and local artists.

Here are the facts:

Living:
The residence is the HDW in Heinersdorf (15518). Shared large kitchen with the residents. There is also a smaller guest kitchen. Shared bathrooms. 1-2 bedrooms per artist + child and enough space to set up retreat rooms etc.

We would like you to be present on site, if possible the whole month.

Work:
Shared or own studio, workspaces

Age of children:
School children up to 11

Childcare:
Childcare is organized by the artists themselves. There is support from contact persons and exchange rounds. Children also live on site. Several children's activities are expected to take place independently of the residency.

Artist Talk:
Public artist talk on 23.08.2025, 3 p.m.

Exhibition:
No joint final exhibition is planned. There is the possibility to present something self-organized during the month.

Period: 04.-31.08.25
What's included: Accommodation, shared studio, 500€ fee
