The season of„Essen im Sande“ has started. At 19.04.2024 at 6pm we begin with the food and at 7pm we will dedicate the evening to the International Day of Peasant Struggles
April 17 - International Day of Peasant Struggles
The last few months have shown that every day is an April 17th. Peasants resist daily – not only in times of farmers' protests. Peasants oppose the logic of unlimited growing, and defend their right to exist in society.

Today we want to enter into a dialog with FLINTA*s from three different collective peasant farms in our region. We will first hear why 1996 the April 17th was declared the International Day of Peasant Struggles. We will then hear from our guests what peasant resistance means today in their local farming reality in Brandenburg, Germany and Europe. There will also be enough space for interaction with the audience.
