Funga migrans nomadic mycelium lab is inviting you to a queer-ecofeminist reorientation through collaborating, thinking and sensing with mushrooms.
Together with ubiquitous, but eager species, like Australian ghost fungus, pink oyster, split gill and rhizophus oligosporus mold we will indulge in queer mycological practices as well as looking at the critical history of working with and seeing mushrooms. If you take part, you can learn easy mushroom culturing to apply in multiple directions, biofluorescent mycelium jewelry making, medicinal mushroom extracting and tempeh sculpturing. We will guide our practices with the ‘The Science Underground, Mycology as a Queer Discipline’ essay of Patricia Kaishian and Hasmik Djoulakian.
You will have the chance to acquire additional mycelium starter cultures and medicinal extracts in exchange for donation.
